Grade Sheet template ENGLISH 101, Sections 9 & 10 (Sports Theme, Fall 2025)

You can modify this template to keep track of your course grade. Each time you turn in an assignment, write it down with possible points. When your assignment is returned, write down the points/grade you received. Leave or add rows for assignments.

You should also keep track of your attendance. You can copy this into a Word doc--or design your own. Or use pen and paper in your notebook.

Example of how to estimate grades. Assume you ended up with the following grades for each category below. Convert each grade into its decimal equivalent and multiply by the percentage weight for each category.

Weekly Writing/Quizzes B+ 3.3 x .25 = .825
Peer Review B 3.0 x .10 = .30
Essay 1: Game Story B 3.0 x .30 = .9
Essay 2: Personal Sports Narrative A- 3.7 x .25 = .925
Assign 1: Sports Short Story Response B+ 3.0 x .10 = .3
Total = 3.25 B+ for course grade

Note: Assignments that are check, check minus, zero do not figure directly into the course grade. However, I will consider these when determining your course grade, specifically if you are in between grades to determine whether the final grade is higher or lower.

To figure your grade from points, add your points and divide by total possible points. E.g., 78/90 = .87 B+
